IDF Strikes Hamas Naval Commander and Eliminates Armed Militants in Gaza
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted targeted operations in the Gaza Strip on Monday, killing Hamas naval commander Osama Naeem Hamdi Shamlakh in an airstrike in Gaza City. According to the IDF spokesperson, Shamlakh had been active throughout the recent conflict and was working to rebuild and strengthen Hamas's naval capabilities, actively promoting various maritime terror plans.
Simultaneously, the Israeli Air Force carried out precise strikes in northern Gaza against three armed Hamas militants who posed an immediate threat to IDF forces operating in the area. All three militants were killed during the operation.
The IDF emphasized that Southern Command forces remain deployed in the Gaza area in accordance with existing agreements and will continue to act decisively to neutralize any immediate threats to Israel's security and its soldiers.
