IDF Kills Hamas Naval Cell Commander and Three Armed Militants in Gaza Strikes
On July 13, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted targeted airstrikes in Gaza, killing Asama Naeem Hamdi Shamlak, the commander of a Hamas naval cell in Gaza City. According to the IDF spokesperson, Shamlak was actively involved during the ongoing conflict and recently focused on rebuilding and strengthening Hamas's naval capabilities, as well as advancing maritime terror operations.
In a separate strike in northern Gaza, the IDF eliminated three armed Hamas militants who were attempting to carry out terror activities against Israeli forces. The military stated that these militants posed an immediate threat to troops operating in the area, prompting precise aerial attacks to neutralize them.
The IDF emphasized that these operations are part of ongoing efforts to dismantle Hamas's terror infrastructure and protect Israeli forces from imminent threats in the Gaza vicinity.
