Hlalili Explores English Clubs After Medical Setback Blocks Move to Italy

Anan Hlalili will not be able to play in Italy following medical test results that halted his transfer to Inter Milan. Previously, Napoli and Como had also shown strong interest in the player, but all Italian league options are now off the table due to his inability to obtain playing clearance in Italy. With the Italian move collapsed, Hlalili is turning his attention to England, where Ipswich Town had once offered 30 million euros for him. His representatives are currently reassessing whether Ipswich’s offer remains viable or if the club has moved on. Aston Villa, which had also submitted a previous bid, is being reconsidered, alongside other Premier League clubs that have expressed interest. Borussia Dortmund has also been mentioned as a potential destination.

Hlalili, disappointed by the failed transfer after envisioning himself at a top club, now seeks a new team. His current club, Union Saint-Gilloise, is expected to demand a minimum transfer fee of 25 million euros, the amount Inter was willing to pay. Inter’s president recently commented on the deal’s collapse, clarifying that the decision was not the club’s but was mandated by Italy’s strict health regulations and the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI). He expressed regret over the news and indicated that the club must comply with the ruling and consider alternative options.
