WhatsApp Business Rolls Out Dual Account Support for Android Beta Users
WhatsApp has started rolling out a new feature to beta users of WhatsApp Business on Android that allows managing two business accounts on a single device. This update targets business owners who operate more than one business phone number, enabling them to consolidate their activities without needing an additional device or alternative solutions. Users who receive the update can add a second business account directly from the app settings and complete the setup in a few steps.
Once added, switching between the two accounts is seamless and quick within the app interface, similar to the account-switching feature already available in the regular WhatsApp app. Each account maintains its own separate data, including chat history, notifications, privacy settings, business profile details, and associated information. This separation ensures independent management of each account without interference.
Both accounts remain connected on the device until the user chooses to log out from one. This allows simultaneous active use of two business accounts on the same device with easy toggling as needed. Currently, the feature is being gradually distributed to a limited number of WhatsApp Business Android beta users with the latest beta version. According to WABetaInfo, the rollout will expand to more beta users in future app updates.
