Prominent Rabbi Conducts Pidyon Haben Ceremony with Special Wine Cup in Jerusalem
Last week, a Pidyon Haben (redemption of the firstborn son) ceremony was held for the grandson of Rabbi Moshe Eliyahu Buso, head of the Maor Israel institutions in Jerusalem. The child is the son of Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Buso, who is married to the esteemed Rabbi Binyamin Horesh, head of the Torat Eliyahu Yeshiva. The redemption was performed by the distinguished Rabbi Yitzchak Cohen, chief rabbi of the Shmuel Hanavi neighborhood in Jerusalem. During the ceremony, Rabbi Cohen blessed a special cup containing over a liter of wine, following the tradition of the Abuhatzeira family. Speeches were delivered by Rabbi Moshe Eliyahu Buso, Rabbi Binyamin Horesh, and Rabbi Shimon Buso, adding to the significance of the event. The ceremony was documented in a photo gallery by S.P.H.
