Fatal Collision on Route 60 Kills Young Man and Critically Injures Passenger

A deadly traffic accident occurred on Route 60 near the Halhul and Beit Anot junctions early Sunday morning, involving a truck and two private vehicles. The crash resulted in the death of a young man around 25 years old and left another passenger in critical condition with multiple injuries. Emergency responders found one vehicle completely crushed, requiring urgent extrication efforts. Paramedic Itai Frenkel described the scene, noting both victims were unconscious, with one showing no signs of life and pronounced dead at the scene. The other was rushed to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital with severe trauma, receiving life-saving treatment en route.

The Israel Police's Etzion station and the Judea traffic division promptly launched a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances of the collision. Traffic investigators from the Shai district began collecting evidence at the site. The accident caused significant road closures and heavy traffic congestion in the area.
