Israeli Health Ministry Urges Return of Gliksman Organic Eggs Over Poultry Deaths
The Israeli Ministry of Health has called on consumers to return organic eggs sold by Gliksman Marketing Eggs Ltd. The recall concerns a dozen organic free-range eggs, size L or M, due to high illness and mortality rates among the hens at the farm supplying these eggs. Although laboratory tests conducted so far have shown no contamination, the Ministry has ordered a precautionary recall while investigations continue. Consumers are advised not to consume the affected eggs. The recalled products bear the date July 21, a refrigerator date of August 20, agricultural code 414020, and the label "organic" on the eggs or packaging.
