Gliksman Egg Company Recalls Organic Eggs Due to High Poultry Illness and Mortality
Gliksman Egg Marketing (1994) Ltd. has initiated a voluntary recall of certain organic egg products following a significant outbreak of illness and mortality among the hens supplying these eggs. Although laboratory tests conducted so far have shown no contamination, the Health Ministry has ordered the recall as a precautionary measure until the investigation is complete.
The recalled products include a dozen organic free-range eggs, sizes L or M, with a marketing date of July 21 and a refrigerator date of August 20, bearing the agricultural code 414020. These eggs are distributed by Gliksman Egg Marketing (1994) Ltd. and are labeled "organic" on the eggs or packaging.
Consumers are advised not to consume these eggs. In coordination with the Health Ministry's Food Service, the company is collecting the products from all points of sale to ensure public safety.
