Glicksman Recalls Organic Eggs Amid High Chicken Mortality in Supplier Farm
Glicksman, an egg distributor, announced a voluntary recall of its organic eggs following a high rate of illness and death among chickens at the supplier farm. The recall affects a dozen organic free-range eggs, sizes L or M, with a marketing date of July 21 and a refrigerator date of August 20, bearing agricultural code 414020 and labeled "organic." This decision was made under the guidance of the Israeli Ministry of Health as a precaution while investigations continue, despite laboratory results so far being normal.
The company has urged consumers not to eat the affected eggs and is coordinating with the Ministry of Health's Food Service to remove the products from stores. Glicksman has set up a dedicated phone line (088592006, extension 1) and an email address (sales@glicksman.co.il) for public inquiries regarding the recall.
