Israeli Dairy Recalls Popular Organic Goat Cheese Over Microbial Contamination
The Haifa district Food Service of Israel's Ministry of Health issued a consumption warning on Thursday following routine lab tests that detected microbial contamination in a product from the dairy farm Mishak Har Perachim Ltd. The affected product is the organic 16% fat goat milk cheese called Tzfatit, produced on July 1, 2026, with an expiration date of July 11, 2026, barcode 0710497982825. Consumers who have this product are advised not to consume it.
As a precaution, the dairy is voluntarily recalling additional products from the same production line, even though no contamination has been confirmed in them. These include the "Mild Saltiness" organic goat milk cheese with 22% fat, produced on June 29, July 3, and July 5, 2026, with expiration dates ranging from July 13 to July 19, 2026, barcode 0710497982733.
Mishak Har Perachim is coordinating closely with the Ministry of Health's Food Service and is actively collecting all the mentioned products from distribution channels and stores. The public can contact the dairy directly at 04-9541537 for further information or inquiries.
