Beitar Jerusalem Signs Defender Nevo Shado for Two Years to Strengthen Squad

Beitar Jerusalem officially announced the signing of 23-year-old left defender Nevo Shado on a two-year contract. Shado, who grew up in Maccabi Haifa's youth system, joins the Jerusalem club after playing last season with Bnei Reineh. This marks the sixth signing by Beitar's coach Almog Cohen during the current summer transfer window as the team prepares for the 2026/27 season.

In the previous season, Shado made 29 appearances in the Israeli Premier League, providing two assists. Despite his former team’s relegation, he earned praise for his physical strength and high fitness level. The coaching staff plans to use Shado as a backup to Jordan Cohen on the left flank, aiming to foster healthy competition and add depth to the defensive lineup.

Shado will join team training next week upon Beitar Jerusalem’s return from their training camp in Pravets, Bulgaria. His signing complements other recent acquisitions including Noam Mocha, Daniel Vorko, Eugene Ansa, Tomer Yossefi, and Sean Weisman. The club expressed satisfaction with the squad-building progress, hoping the blend of young talents and experienced players will help return Beitar to the league’s top ranks.
