Ultra-Orthodox Protesters Breach Prison 10 Over Draft Dodger Arrest
On the evening of July 8, 2026, a group of ultra-Orthodox protesters arrived at Prison 10 to demonstrate against the detention of a draft dodger arrested during riots outside Supreme Court Justice Noam Solberg's home earlier in the month. The protesters, including men, women, and children who were family and friends of the detainee, came in three buses. They entered the prison grounds through open gates without initial resistance and confronted soldiers stationed there. The soldiers managed to remove the male protesters from the prison area, but the women remain inside. The incident was captured on video and reported by N12 news.
