Dan Glazer Returns to Maccabi Tel Aviv with Two-Year Contract

Dan Glazer, the 29-year-old defensive midfielder, has officially signed a two-year contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv, marking his return to the club where he began his career. After passing medical tests, Glazer joined Maccabi with an option for a third season, following negotiations that saw the club pay 200,000 euros to acquire him from Kairat. His annual net salary is approximately 300,000 euros.

Maccabi Tel Aviv's professional manager, Steven Vanharan, initiated the move about two weeks ago after Glazer appeared close to signing with either Beitar Jerusalem or Maccabi Netanya. The club values Glazer's aggressive playing style, strong personality, and his deep connection to Maccabi, having debuted for their senior team 12 years ago. He is expected to contribute immediately, including in the upcoming Super Cup match and Europa League qualifiers.

Glazer's career includes loan spells at Beitar Tel Aviv and Maccabi Netanya, followed by stints abroad with OFI Crete, Nizhny Novgorod, and Kairat, where he played in last season's Champions League. His return to Maccabi Tel Aviv is seen as a strategic reinforcement ahead of crucial upcoming fixtures.
