Dan Glazer Returns to Maccabi Tel Aviv with Two-Year Contract
Dan Glazer has officially rejoined Maccabi Tel Aviv, signing a two-year contract with an option for a third season ahead of the 2026/27 campaign. The Israeli midfielder, 29, arrives from Kazakhstan's Kairat Almaty, with Maccabi paying a transfer fee of approximately 200,000 euros. Glazer is set to earn around 300,000 euros per season.
Glazer's return addresses both professional and leadership needs for Maccabi Tel Aviv, as he brings experience from 21 appearances with the Israeli national team and is viewed as a key figure to support younger players in the squad. During his time at Kairat, he made over 40 appearances and helped the club win the 2024/25 Kazakhstan Premier League title and qualify for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League for the first time. Prior to Kairat, he played for OFI Crete in Greece and Nizhny Novgorod in Russia.
Glazer previously made 194 appearances for Maccabi Tel Aviv, scoring twice and assisting six goals. He won two Israeli Premier League titles under coach Vladimir Ivic in 2018/19 and 2019/20, earning the league's Player of the Year award in the latter season. Additionally, he secured two Israeli Super Cups and the State Cup in 2020/21 with the club.
