Dan Glazer Returns to Maccabi Tel Aviv with Two-Year Contract
Dan Glazer has officially rejoined Maccabi Tel Aviv, signing a two-year contract with an option for a third season ahead of the 2026/27 season. The Israeli midfielder, who spent the past three years with Kazakhstan's Kairat Almaty, is Maccabi's first major signing for the upcoming campaign. The transfer fee paid to Kairat is approximately 200,000 euros, while Glazer will earn around 300,000 euros per season.
Glazer, 29, brings both professional skill and leadership qualities to the team, having made 21 appearances for the Israeli national team. He is expected to provide guidance to younger players in the squad. During his time at Kairat, Glazer played over 40 matches alongside Ofri Arad, contributing to the club's 2024/25 league title and historic qualification for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League.
Before joining Kairat, Glazer played for OFI Crete in Greece and Nizhny Novgorod in Russia. In his previous stint with Maccabi Tel Aviv, he made 194 appearances, scored two goals, and assisted six. He won two league titles under coach Vladimir Ivic in 2018/19 and 2019/20, earning the Israeli Premier League Player of the Year award in the latter season. Additionally, he secured two Toto Cup titles and the State Cup in 2020/21 with Maccabi.
This signing reflects Maccabi Tel Aviv's strategic move to strengthen their midfield with a proven leader as they prepare for the new season.
