Israeli Teachers Union Chief Threatens Strike Over Unpaid Workday Under Education Minister Yoav Kisch

Ran Erez, chairman of the Israeli Teachers Union, sharply criticized Education Minister Yoav Kisch on Sunday morning for failing to pay teachers for a day lost due to heightened tensions with Iran, during which schools did not operate. Erez threatened a strike in protest of the unpaid workday, emphasizing the seriousness of the issue. He stated, "Every citizen should know who the education minister is and should fear and take it into account." Erez further warned that even right-wing voters, who typically support the government, have children and that with the current education system and minister, there is no chance for improvement.
