Explosions Near Hotel in Damascus During Macron's Visit, President Unharmed

A series of explosions occurred in Damascus near the hotel where French President Emmanuel Macron was staying during his visit to Syria. Macron was not harmed and subsequently proceeded to the Syrian presidential palace. According to the Élysée Palace, the French president did not hear the explosions at all. Syrian sources reported that Macron had left the hotel approximately 15 minutes before the blasts took place.
