Marcus Bingham finished his season with Kazan last night (Wednesday) after falling 4:0 to CSKA in the VTB League final, and developments are now expected regarding the big man, who is a candidate for Maccabi Tel Aviv.
As is known, Bingham is in advanced talks with the yellow-and-blue, but it turns out that Oded Katash’s team is far from the only one looking to sign him. In addition to Maccabi, Fenerbahce is also working to secure the former Hapoel Tel Aviv player, according to a report published today in Italy.
As reported, Maccabi offered Bingham a two-year contract with an option for a third season, with a salary of about $900,000 per season.
Bingham put together a huge season with Kazan, posting 15.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game in the regular season, while shooting 56.4% from the field and 39.0% from three. In the playoffs, he posted similar averages of 14.9 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game, while shooting 57.2% from the field and 36.5% from beyond the arc.
As recalled, after four years at Michigan State, the 2.08-meter center broke out with Hapoel Haifa in the 2023/24 season, and then signed with Hapoel Holon. After an impressive start to the previous season in purple, he moved to Hapoel Tel Aviv in November for an unusual buyout of $600,000. This summer he left Israel and moved to the Russian league, which he is expected to leave this summer.
