Marcus Bingham, who was close to joining Maccabi Tel Aviv, has now reportedly agreed terms with EuroLeague champion Fenerbahce. European reports say the forward, who had been on the verge of signing a two-year deal with an option for a third season in Tel Aviv for $900,000, changed course because of the security situation in Israel.
Bingham had initially been willing to return to Israel, but the missile attack altered his position, and he is now unwilling to come because of a family veto. Into that gap stepped Fenerbahce, which reportedly offered him a $1.4 million contract, and he is believed to have accepted it.
The 20 June 2026 report says Bingham is coming off a strong season with Kazan, where he averaged 15.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in the regular season, shooting 56.4% from the field and 39.0% from three. In the playoffs, he posted 14.9 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game, with shooting splits of 57.2% and 36.5%.
Bingham arrived in Israel after four years in college, broke out with Hapoel Haifa in 2023/24, then signed with Hapoel Holon. After a strong start to last season in Holon, he moved in November to Hapoel Tel Aviv in a rare $600,000 buyout deal. He left Israel this summer for the Russian league and is now expected to leave it again.
