Israeli teenager Orian Goren has been included in Barcelona's squad for recent matches against Real Madrid and Aston Villa, and has received his first call-up to the Israeli national team from coach Ran Ben Shimon. Catalan sports media report that coach Hansi Flick is carefully preparing Goren for integration into the first team, viewing him as a "differential talent." Flick is known for his reluctance to praise individual players, especially young ones from La Masia, believing that excessive hype can be detrimental to their development.
Goren is considered a key player for Barcelona Atlètic, the club's reserve team. Despite being a youth player for a second year, he has been indispensable for coach Balti and was the academy player who spent the most time under Flick's command during preseason.
