Levante Prepares Massive Bid for Maccabi Tel Aviv Midfielder Sissoko

Spanish club Levante is reportedly preparing a significant offer of approximately five million euros for Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder Ibrahima Sissoko, ahead of the January transfer window. Leeds United is also interested in the player, but may need to act quickly to secure his signature before the Spanish side.

Levante has already initiated contact with Sissoko's representatives and is considered the most advanced among the interested clubs. However, the offer is still in the preparation phase and has not yet been formally submitted to Maccabi Tel Aviv. Leeds, on the other hand, has been monitoring the midfielder for over a year and might make an official approach when the transfer window opens.

Reports suggest that Sissoko is open to a move to England and reportedly prefers a transfer to Leeds' Elland Road stadium. Daniel Farkes, Leeds' manager, had sought to strengthen his midfield in the summer but was unsuccessful in acquiring a player for the position.

Portuguese club Braga is also in contention, having added Sissoko to their list of potential targets and monitoring developments. Braga's potential to make an offer in January depends on Maccabi Tel Aviv's willingness to sell, though their history of not making such high-value acquisitions makes their chances of winning the race seem slim.

Sissoko's contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv is valid until June 2027, with an option for the club to extend it for an additional season. He joined the Israeli club in the summer of 2024, was part of their recent championship-winning squad, and remains a key player in the midfield this season under coach Kenny Miller.
