Spanish club Levante is reportedly preparing a significant offer of approximately five million euros for Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder Issouf Sissoko. The bid is anticipated ahead of the January transfer window, with Levante having already initiated contact with Sissoko's representatives and reportedly being the most advanced in negotiations. While the offer is still in preparation and has not yet been formally submitted to Maccabi Tel Aviv, the move signals a heated competition for the player.
Leeds United is also interested in Sissoko, having monitored him for over a year. They may make an official approach once the transfer window opens. Reports suggest Sissoko is open to a move to England and might prefer joining Leeds at Elland Road. The article notes that Leeds' coach, Daniel Farkes, sought to strengthen his midfield in the summer but was unsuccessful.
Portuguese club Braga is also in contention, having added Sissoko to their list of potential targets. Their pursuit, however, depends on Maccabi Tel Aviv's willingness to sell, and Braga has not previously acquired players at this price point, making their chances slim.
Sissoko's contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv is valid until June 2027, with an option for an additional year held by the club. He joined the Israeli club in the summer of 2024, was part of their championship-winning team last season, and has been a key player in Kenny Miller's midfield this season.
