Maccabi Netanya in Advanced Talks for Brazilian General Manager

Maccabi Netanya is in advanced negotiations to appoint a Brazilian general manager, with the club hoping to finalize the appointment within days. The team, currently experiencing a difficult period with only one win in its last seven matches, is also focusing on strengthening its management structure. The candidate is a management professional with experience in the Brazilian league and is expected to arrive in Israel during the upcoming international break for a handover from the current general manager, Gil Lev.

Lev has announced his intention to leave the position and is awaiting his successor. Club owner Ross Kasten had previously attempted to hire Ben Mansford and has been seeking a foreign general manager, despite being offered several candidates from within the Israeli Premier League, including Keren Ben Nesh.

In the meantime, Maccabi Netanya aims to improve its recent performance in an upcoming match against Maccabi Haifa. The team will be without Isaac, who was sent off in the last game, and Dolev Haziza, who aggravated a foot injury by returning to training too soon. Haziza is expected to be sidelined until after the break, with Dor Hugi or Eyalon Almog likely to replace Isaac in the lineup.
