Top Israeli Soccer Player Accused of Sexual Assault by Medical Therapist

A medical therapist has filed a police complaint against a prominent Israeli Premier League soccer player, accusing him of sexual harassment and indecent acts. The therapist alleges that after providing a medical treatment at the player's home, the athlete committed indecent acts against him without consent. The therapist claims the incident has drastically altered his life.

According to the complaint filed with the Central District Police, the therapist arrived at the player's residence to administer a common treatment for soccer players. Upon completion of the session, the therapist alleges the player began to sexually harass and assault him. The therapist reportedly provided the police with evidence supporting his claims.

Following the alleged incident, the therapist reported feeling distressed and disoriented, requiring subsequent medical attention at a hospital emergency room. The next day, the player allegedly sent numerous messages apologizing and attempting to dissuade the therapist from filing a complaint. However, the therapist, concerned about potential other victims, decided to proceed with the police report.

The player is expected to be summoned for questioning by the Central District Police in the coming days. The therapist's lawyers, Yitzhak Sapir and Shimshon Klein, stated that their client experienced a severe and traumatic incident of sexual harassment and assault, exploiting his professional role. They added that his mental state has since deteriorated significantly, impacting his ability to work and his daily routine.
