Israeli Police Neutralize Knife-Wielding Attacker in Lod Attempted Stabbing
On Wednesday morning in the city of Lod, an attempted stabbing attack was thwarted when a suspect armed with a knife tried to assault a Border Police officer. Police patrol officers spotted the suspect holding a knife and ordered him to stop. Instead, the suspect ran toward a Border Police unit operating nearby and allegedly attempted to stab one of the officers. The officer responded by shooting and neutralizing the attacker. Large police forces quickly arrived at the scene, and Central District Commander, Commissioner Amir Cohen, was en route to the location to oversee the situation.
