A two-year-old toddler has died in the Bedouin city of Rahat after reportedly being left inside a locked car for an extended period. Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics were called to the scene at approximately 4:44 PM on Tuesday after receiving a report of an unconscious child. The first responders provided medical treatment and performed resuscitation efforts, but tragically, the child's death was pronounced at the scene.

According to MDA paramedics Zaki Alhozeil, Halmi Abu Takfa, and Atef Abu Siam, the child was found without a pulse or breathing and showed signs of heatstroke. They stated that the child had been searched for several hours before being found and brought into a home. Despite their efforts, the child's condition was critical, and a doctor declared him deceased.

The incident is being investigated as a suspected case of neglect, with authorities looking into how the child came to be left unattended in the vehicle for such a duration.
