Three Murders in Israel Within an Hour Including Renowned Rabbi Stabbed in Netanya Yeshiva
Within the span of one hour on the morning of July 1, 2026, three separate murders occurred in Israel. A well-known rabbi, approximately 75 years old, was fatally stabbed inside a yeshiva in Netanya. Emergency medical teams arriving at the scene found him unconscious, without pulse or breathing, suffering from severe penetrating wounds. Despite prolonged resuscitation efforts, his condition was critical upon hospital transfer. The suspected assailant is believed to be one of the rabbi's students, whose identity is known, and who is currently evading police capture.
In addition to the stabbing in Netanya, two other fatal shootings took place. A 21-year-old man was shot dead in Yagur, and a 24-year-old man was killed in Shefa-'Amr. These incidents collectively mark a violent and tragic morning across different locations in Israel.
