Maccabi Herzliya's coach, Nitzan Damari, offered to resign from his position following a challenging season that has seen the team drop below the relegation zone after a recent loss to Maccabi Jaffa. Damari's offer was reportedly not accepted by the club's management, who value the "diligent and talented" coach. Senior figures within the club and key players have urged Damari to withdraw his offer and continue despite the team's struggles. Damari is expected to lead the team from the sidelines in their upcoming match against Reina and potentially against Kfar Shalem. Decisions regarding his future are anticipated during the upcoming long break. The club acknowledges the critical nature of this decision as they fight against relegation. Concurrently, the club is actively seeking to strengthen its roster with free agents before the January transfer window. Yuval Ashkenazi, a free agent finding it difficult to secure a spot in the Premier League, is expected to sign with the team next week.
