Israeli security forces conducted counter-terrorism operations in Jenin and near Qalqilya, leading to the arrest of several suspects and the seizure of significant weapons caches. In Jenin, soldiers surprised terrorists during an operation aimed at thwarting their attempts to establish terror cells within the city and surrounding villages. The IDF has maintained a presence in the Jenin refugee camp for the past two years, a former hub for terrorism in the West Bank.
Separately, Border Police (Magav) forces, acting on intelligence from the Judea and Samaria District's crime-fighting unit, raided a location near the village of Habla, close to Qalqilya. During the search, a large cache of illegal weapons was discovered. The seized items included three handguns, an M4 rifle, parts for M16 rifles, over 2,300 rounds of ammunition in various calibers, and 67 magazines for different types of firearms. Additionally, suppressors, scopes, three "Roni" conversion kits for handguns, dozens of weapon parts, tactical accessories, and related equipment were confiscated.
