Maccabi Tel Aviv's recent acquisition Daniel Theis has been benched for 40 consecutive minutes across two games, a significant drop from his earlier playing time. Theis, who averaged nearly 20 minutes per game early in the EuroLeague season, played only 9:41 minutes in one game and none in the first half of another. Daniel Theis, a significant summer acquisition for Maccabi Tel Aviv, has seen a notable decrease in playing time recently. Theis, who averaged nearly 20 minutes per game in the EuroLeague early in the season, played only 9:41 minutes against Crvena Zvezda, all in the first half. This trend continued in the subsequent game against Paris, where the German national team center did not play at all in the first half, marking 40 consecutive minutes on the bench. While Theis did experience an early-season injury, there has been no reported aggravation that would explain this reduced role. His absence from the court for extended periods appears to be a professional decision by the team.
