Authorities have arrested a woman in her 50s from Ariel, in the Samaria region, on suspicion of abusing and harming helpless children at a local daycare. The arrest occurred Thursday night, and the investigation began the previous evening at the Ariel station of the Judea and Samaria district police. Following her interrogation, the suspect was detained and is scheduled to appear in court.

This incident follows the exposure of another alleged abuse case at a different Ariel daycare, where the names of the director and two caregivers were revealed. The director, Natalia Kisilevsky, had her remand extended until Sunday, while caregivers Darina Khalfa and Anna Pegelsky had their detention extended until Thursday. Police suspect hundreds of violent incidents against helpless toddlers, including choking, gagging, shaking, slapping, and throwing.

Investigators believe the abuse occurred daily, with over 30 incidents recorded on some days. The director is also suspected of direct involvement in 18 alleged assaults and was present during five others. According to police, Khalfa stated that Pegelsky taught her the methods used. Pegelsky reportedly admitted to tying toddlers with diapers and confirmed the acts shown in video evidence. Khalfa is also accused of attempting to destroy evidence by messaging the director to delete videos on the day police removed cameras.
