Channel 14 Host Yaara Zerad Departs Daily Show Amid Personal Reasons

Yaara Zerad, a prominent host on Israel's Channel 14, announced her departure from her daily hosting duties on the program "Five with Yaara Zerad." Zerad, who had been contemplating her future with the channel, bid farewell to her regular hosting slot on Tuesday. Her final broadcast included a tribute video prepared by the show's panelists and crew, which visibly moved her. "Thank you very much to the team that put this together, I didn't know about this surprise," Zerad expressed. She clarified that she is not leaving Channel 14 entirely, stating, "I am saying goodbye to this segment, but I will still appear on Channel 14, I will appear in broadcasts, in commentaries. I will still be here, I am taking a small break. I will return." Zerad cited personal considerations for her decision, explaining, "These are my personal considerations, I had a complex year in my life and I decided to end the daily segment." Panelist Tal Gilboa thanked Zerad for her professionalism and for making the broadcast enjoyable. Zerad entered the media and digital world after completing her academic studies. Her career included work at the Hidabroot channel website and the "Mekor Rishon" newspaper. She co-hosted a program with Yair Netanyahu on Radio Galey Israel. During the 21st Knesset elections, Zerad took a break from her media work to serve as spokesperson for the Likud party's information campaign. She joined Channel 14 in 2020, becoming a well-known face on the network. Throughout her tenure, she hosted programs such as "Now Knesset" and "Situation Assessment," served as a political commentator, and eventually took over the "Five with Yaara Zerad" broadcast.
