The Portland Trail Blazers secured a significant 136-129 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday morning, largely thanks to a standout performance from Dani Avdija, who contributed 23 points and nine assists. However, a contentious moment in the final minute of the game ignited Luka Dončić's fury towards the officiating crew.
With the score at 135-129 in favor of Portland, Dončić attempted a three-point shot to narrow the deficit. Avdija contested the shot, and it appeared he may have committed a "goaltending" violation, which would have awarded the Lakers three points. The referees, however, did not make the call.
In response to the perceived missed call, the Slovenian player vocally protested to the referees while the play was still in progress. A video clip of the incident is available.
