An 88-year-old man was discovered deceased in his Givatayim apartment on election day, having apparently died some time earlier. The discovery was made by a friend who had arranged to pick him up to vote. Upon arriving at his home on Remez Street, the friend found the man unresponsive and in an advanced state of decomposition. ZAKA (Emergency Response) teams, led by Logistics Director Shmuel Kalman and volunteer Baruch Trooper, responded to the scene. Volunteers worked to respectfully handle the deceased and assist police in gathering evidence. The body was transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
