During a large-scale counter-terrorism operation in Hebron, led by the Judea Brigade, the IDF discovered a 15-meter deep underground chamber located near the home of a terrorist involved in a recent deadly encounter. The operation was initiated following a severe clash at the Judea Junction over the weekend, which resulted in the deaths of Sergeant Major Ron Yonatan Reitman and Sergeant Yuval Shai Suilem, and injured three other soldiers. The discovery was made during thorough searches that have led to over 500 locations being investigated in the city. Initial findings indicate the chamber is approximately 15 meters deep and 75 centimeters wide, with no exit opening. The IDF emphasized that the chamber is located within Hebron city limits and is not close to any Israeli settlement. An electronic device was found inside the underground space during searches and has been transferred to security forces for further investigation. Security forces continue their operation in Hebron, which includes extensive searches, arrests of suspects, and confiscation of weapons and illegal vehicles.
