The visually striking and emotionally charged dance production "NINA," created by Eastern Europe's PRJCT 360 company, is set for its Israeli premiere in November 2026. The show tells the story of Nina, a character navigating the complex interplay of love, freedom, and the allure of the stage. Originally conceived by producer and creative director to unite dancers from Bulgaria, Ukraine, and Italy, the project evolved into a full theater company where each performer possesses a distinct character and movement style.
The creation of "NINA" involved an extensive process, including multi-stage auditions, training seminars, and rigorous rehearsals. Professional athletes contributed to the dancers' physical conditioning, while leading European stage designers enhanced the visual aspects. Sergey Koltsov's technical innovations resulted in a two-story stage structure featuring internal labyrinths, massive LED screens, and custom video content, transforming the set into various environments from a prison to a wedding to a cabaret.
Betina Dimitrova stars as Nina, with Vasil Zolumov, Viktoria Yordanova, Svetoslav Slavkov, and Petra Nedyalkova forming the ensemble cast.
Following a successful premiere in Sofia and subsequent international tours across Europe and Turkey, "NINA" received the Best Dance Show 2023 award from the Association of Choreographers for its aesthetic integrity and artistic honesty. The show will be presented in Israel from October 28 to November 2, 2026, with performances scheduled in Haifa, Be'er Sheva, Ashdod, and Tel Aviv. BARD Productions is facilitating the Israeli run.
