A man and a woman, both around 30 years old, were killed Saturday evening in a car crash involving two private vehicles on Route 6678 near Sde Eliyahu in the Beit She'an Valley. Three fire and rescue teams worked at the scene to extract the victims. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) pronounced the two dead due to severe, multi-system injuries. Three other individuals were treated by MDA teams: a woman around 25 years old in moderate condition with multi-system injuries, and two others in light condition. They were evacuated to HaEmek Hospital in Afula. The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident. Northern District police officers and accident investigators arrived at the scene and are directing traffic in the area. "We saw a vehicle overturned on its roof with a man and woman inside, unconscious, without pulse or breathing, with very severe injuries to their bodies," recounted an MDA volunteer doctor, Shimon Dayan, along with MDA motorcycle unit paramedic Natanel Shukron and MDA paramedic Tzvi Greenhut. "We performed medical examinations but unfortunately, their injuries were significant, and we could only pronounce them dead. Simultaneously, we treated three other injured individuals in moderate and light condition." Firefighter Reshef Almog Ohayon, commander of the firefighting forces at the scene, stated, "We worked to rescue two trapped individuals from a private vehicle that overturned in a very severe road accident. Unfortunately, the two we rescued from the vehicle were already deceased upon our arrival."
