Seven years after his sister was murdered and he was severely injured in a terrorist attack at the Ein Dani spring, Dvir Sherav and his wife are among the first families to settle in the new community of Neot Harim. The community is located between Naveh Tzuf and Nachliel in the Benjamin region.

The decision to build a home in this specific area is rooted in the family's experience since the 2017 attack, their recovery, and the difficulty of returning to the site. It also fulfills a request made by Dvir's father, Rabbi Eitan Sherav, to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during the week of mourning for his daughter.

Dvir, who married a year ago and works as a program manager for Bnei Akiva, sought with his wife, an IDF officer, a place to help establish a new community. They learned about the plan to establish Neot Harim near Gush Talmonim and decided to join. The couple previously lived in southern Tel Aviv.

"We still can't believe that a moment ago our view was buildings in southern Tel Aviv, and now look what an amazing view we have here," Dvir said. "We told ourselves we need to connect to the new settlement and all the crazy things happening in Judea and Samaria. It's amazing to be part of this project. On a personal level, we have a blood connection to the place."

He added, "Not far from here, seven years ago, I lost my sister in a terrorist attack in which my father and I were also injured. To return here not out of pain, but to establish a community, a family, and a home, is something hard to explain in words."

During the inauguration ceremony of Neot Harim, Rabbi Eitan Sherav recounted the visit from Prime Minister Netanyahu and Israel Gantz, head of the Benjamin Regional Council, during the shiva for his daughter. Rabbi Sherav stated he asked the Prime Minister at that time to act to establish a new community in the area where his daughter was murdered. Gantz confirmed the conversation, noting Rabbi Sherav's insistence on the need for a settlement in the area.

Seven years later, at the inauguration of Neot Harim, father and son stood together in the new settlement, with Dvir among the first residents.
