Zoglovec has completed the construction of a new, fully automated sausage factory in Shlomi, located just hundreds of meters from the northern border. The 2,000 square meter facility, built with an investment of approximately 120 million shekels, represents one of the largest industrial investments in the Galilee region in the past two decades and the most significant near the border since the current war began. The plant features production lines operating with complete automation and no human contact, monitored from start to finish. The technology employed is used by leading global companies, with only about 40 such production lines existing worldwide. This expansion aims to significantly increase production capacity and meet the growing demand for sausages, particularly boutique and premium varieties. The factory will also support the production of new boutique sausages announced by the company in collaboration with Chef Moshik Roth's "Frankco" chain.

Construction took about two and a half years, with the outbreak of war causing a six-month delay. This delay was primarily due to the need for technicians and engineers from abroad to operate the specialized equipment, amid international restrictions, including from the US and European countries, on their citizens entering areas north of Highway 85. Despite these security complexities, the company successfully completed and activated the project.

Zoglovec Chairman Zion Balas stated, "The decision to complete a 120 million shekel investment in Shlomi, hundreds of meters from the border and during the complex period the North has experienced, reflects our long-term commitment to the region and our employees." He added that employees, suppliers, and partners continued to advance the project under difficult conditions, and the new factory will enable expanded production in Israel with world-leading industrial technologies.

This development aligns with other strategic moves by Zoglovec, which operates from the Western Galilee and employs hundreds. In August, following AP Partners becoming a major shareholder, Zoglovec announced the acquisition of 70% of Plant & Bean in Thailand, specializing in meat alternatives and plant-based products. The company, celebrating 89 years since its founding as a small butcher shop, has also undergone management changes. Zion Balas, formerly CEO of Strauss Israel and Strauss Coffee Global, was appointed active chairman, while Eli Zoglovec was named President of International Operations.
