Motorcyclist Survives Massive Mudslide in Northeast India Amid Heavy Rains
A motorcyclist in Arunachal Pradesh, northeastern India, miraculously survived a massive mudslide triggered by relentless heavy rains. The incident occurred when a mountainside collapsed, sending tons of earth and mud rushing down and sweeping the rider along the road. Dramatic footage captured the moment the mudslide engulfed the motorcyclist, who emerged without injuries.
The mudslide also caused a complete blockage of the nearby Siiji River due to the enormous volume of soil and debris that flowed into it. The continuous heavy rainfall in the region led to the destabilization of the mountain slope, resulting in this significant natural disaster.
Authorities and locals have been monitoring the situation closely as the blockage of the river could lead to further flooding or environmental hazards. The motorcyclist's survival has been described as a miracle given the scale and force of the mudslide.
