A pilot for United Airlines, Sina Amjadiyan, will not be permitted to operate flights to Israel following information passed to Israeli security and transportation authorities. The decision was made after the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and the Fight Against Antisemitism alerted security agencies and the Ministry of Transport about social media posts allegedly showing Amjadiyan's support for the Iranian regime and Hezbollah.

According to a report by Ynet, the allegations stem from posts on X (formerly Twitter) by other users, not direct statements from Amjadiyan presented to Israeli authorities. These posts claim Amjadiyan, who previously worked for Flydubai, shared content aligned with the Iranian regime, including a video purportedly showing him kissing and saluting the regime's symbol. Another post alleged he expressed support for the Revolutionary Guards and Hezbollah, urging United Airlines to investigate his conduct.

The alert was sent on October 19 by Avi Cohen Scali, Director General of the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and the Fight Against Antisemitism, to Shin Bet head David Zini and Ministry of Transport Director General Moshe Ben Zaken. The ministry's action follows an attempted attack on a Flydubai flight to Israel in late September, where a co-pilot allegedly assaulted the captain and tried to hijack the plane.

Senior officials in the Ministry of Transport confirmed to Ynet that, after receiving the warning and in coordination with security bodies, the decision was made to prevent flights operated by Amjadiyan from reaching Israel.
