A passenger on an El Al flight gained viral attention after boarding with a plunger and a sign reading "There's a plumber on the plane." The humorous stunt, which has garnered over 200,000 views and thousands of comments on social media, was a tribute to Israeli plumber Yeniv Hayoun. Hayoun was hailed as a hero for subduing a hijacker on a Flydubai flight, an act that earned him the nickname "The Hero Plumber" from former U.S. President Donald Trump.
The passenger, who walked down the aisle with the plunger and sign, declared, "Friends, you can relax, everything is fine, we are a nation of superheroes." The video quickly became a talking point, with flight attendants sharing their experiences with the trend. One flight attendant commented, "As a flight attendant, if I got a shekel for every Flydubai joke they told me at the entrance to the plane in the last two weeks, I'd be set," adding that the passenger took it to "the next level."
While many found the gesture amusing and a sign of national resilience, others questioned how the plunger passed through security. "Seriously, you got all the way to the plane with a plunger? The most messed up thing I've seen so far," one commenter wrote. The incident highlights a broader trend of national morale and humor in the face of tension, with many users seeing the act as proof that the Israeli spirit remains unbroken.
