IDF Destroys Anti-Tank Missile Launcher Hidden in Bushes

IDF forces killed more than 35 terrorists in southern Lebanon. An anti-tank missile launcher was destroyed in a precise strike, according to documentation from the field.

Units from Division 91 have continued intensive operational activity in southern Lebanon, and over the past week they have killed more than 35 terrorists from the Hezbollah terrorist organization who were operating near IDF forces. The operational activity includes precise strikes, locating weapons and destroying terror infrastructure.

As part of the activity yesterday, Wednesday, forces from Brigade 679 identified an anti-tank missile launcher hidden inside bushes in the operational area. The forces carried out a precise strike that led to the destruction of the launcher, and during the strike a terrorist operating in the launcher area was also killed. The IDF Spokesperson said the launcher was ready for use and intended to harm forces operating in the field.

In parallel with Brigade 679’s activity, forces from Brigade 769 carried out a raid on a weapons cache in southern Lebanon. During the raid, significant quantities of weapons were found, including Kalashnikov rifles, RPG launchers and rockets. The forces acted on the basis of precise intelligence that led them to the cache, which was part of the terrorist organization’s weapons array.

Division 91’s operational activity is taking place alongside broad IDF activity throughout southern Lebanon. Over the past day, IDF forces have struck numerous Hezbollah terror infrastructures in the Tyre area and other sectors, including loaded launchers ready for firing and a drone-launch site carrying explosive devices. Security officials assess that the continuing operational activity in southern Lebanon is impairing Hezbollah’s ability to continue threatening Israeli civilians and security forces. The killing of the terrorists and the destruction of the weapons are part of the IDF’s overall effort to thwart the organization’s capabilities and prevent attacks.
