Hidden in the bushes: How Hezbollah's launcher was exposed
IDF forces from the 91st Division continue operating in southern Lebanon against Hezbollah terror infrastructure and operatives. According to an IDF statement, more than 35 militants operating near the fighting forces in southern Lebanon were killed over the past week.
As part of the activity, fighters from Brigade 679 carried out an operation yesterday, Wednesday, to locate and destroy weapons in the area. During the operation, the forces identified an anti-tank missile launcher hidden in dense vegetation and destroyed it. The IDF said that during the strike, a militant operating near the launcher was also killed.
At the same time, forces from Brigade 769 operated in several additional locations in southern Lebanon. During one of the raids, the fighters located a weapons depot used by Hezbollah. The depot contained, among other things, Kalashnikov rifles, RPG launchers and rockets.
The IDF says the activity was intended to remove threats to the forces operating in the area and to damage Hezbollah's military capabilities in southern Lebanon.
