Social media star Daniel Amit was revealed as the contestant behind the 'Botox' mask on the Israeli version of 'The Masked Singer' after being eliminated from the competition. Amit, who built a career on "one-pot pasta" recipes and daily social media content, attempted to fool the judges and audience with her performances.
During her time on the show, the 'Botox' mask performed the 2000s hit "Barbie Girl" and impressed the judges with a performance that included a costume change from an older woman to a younger one. The contestant also sparked a discussion among the judges about cosmetic procedures when she made a surprise appearance on panelist Ophira Assaig's birthday.
Despite the buzz, the 'Botox' mask received the fewest votes and was eliminated. The judges had incorrectly guessed other celebrities, including Avivit Bar Zohar, Pnina Rosenblum, Einav Boblil, and Maayan Adam.
Clues revealed after Amit's unmasking connected her online persona to the mask's hints. These included references to her daily posting of coupon codes, the launch of a chocolate cake priced at 139.90 shekels, her unfiltered communication style, and her relationship with Emily Damari, who appeared on the reality show "Connected."
