Rami Levy Recalls Cheese-Filled Bourekas Over Metal Contamination Concerns
Yinon Food Production and Marketing Ltd. announced a voluntary recall on Sunday of its cheese-filled bourekas sold under the Rami Levy Shikma brand. The recall follows suspicions that metal foreign objects may be present in the product. The affected items are 800-gram packages with barcode 7290002735847, produced on June 22, 2026, and June 24, 2026, with expiration dates of June 22, 2027, and June 24, 2027, respectively.
The company is coordinating with the Central District Food Service of the Ministry of Health and is currently collecting the products from distribution channels. Consumers who have purchased the product are advised not to consume it. Yinon apologized for the inconvenience caused to customers.
