Rami Levy Cheese Borekas Recalled Over Metal Contamination Concerns
The food company Yinon has initiated a voluntary recall of Rami Levy-branded cheese borekas due to suspected metal foreign objects found inside the product packaging. The recall was announced on Sunday in coordination with Israel's Ministry of Health following concerns that the metal fragments could pose a health risk to consumers.
The recall specifically targets 800-gram packages with barcode 7290002735847, produced on June 22 and June 24, 2026, with expiration dates one year later. Yinon is currently removing the affected products from all sales channels in the central district under the supervision of the Ministry of Health's Food Service.
Consumers who have purchased these borekas are urged not to consume them and to contact the company's customer service at 076-8888686 for further assistance. Yinon's management apologized for the temporary inconvenience caused to customers by this safety precaution.
This recall highlights ongoing vigilance in food safety and the cooperation between manufacturers and health authorities to protect public health.
