  • The reporter who revealed the censorship denies the theft claim.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated in an interview with the newspaper "Olam Katan" that he does not evade responsibility for mistakes made before the October 7th attack. However, after receiving the interview draft for approval, he reportedly ordered the removal of the statement regarding his responsibility. This sentence was indeed omitted from the published version, as revealed by Avishai Greenzaig on i24NEWS.

During the interview, conducted for the "Olam Katan" newspaper, which is part of Channel 14, Netanyahu was asked about past actions he now understands were mistakes. In his original response, as it appeared in the revealed draft, the Prime Minister said, "I do not evade responsibility. And after the war, every question will be examined, including my decisions, including everyone's decisions. But first, we must win. And we are winning."

According to Greenzaig's report, after Netanyahu received the raw interview for his approval, he retracted his statement and instructed that the sentence where he declared he was not evading responsibility be censored. Consequently, the sentence was removed and did not appear in the interview ultimately published by the newspaper. A response from Prime Minister Netanyahu's office regarding the publication has not yet been provided.

The newspaper "Olam Katan" responded to the revelation by claiming the draft was stolen from the phone of Yonatan Urikh and that its use constitutes participation in a criminal offense. Greenzaig rejected this claim, stating it is incorrect.
