Model and new judge on the entertainment show 'The Masked Singer,' Bar Refaeli, shared an amusing anecdote from her past during the latest broadcast. Refaeli recounted an attempt to enter the music industry and a brief audition at the home of the late legendary singer Tzviקה Pik.
Refaeli explained that Pik was seeking a replacement for Yael Bar Zohar, who had left a role performing alongside him. He contacted Refaeli's mother, Tzipi Refaeli, suggesting her daughter audition. Despite Tzipi Refaeli's reservations about her daughter's singing ability, Pik insisted he could teach anyone to sing, prompting Bar Refaeli to prepare.
Refaeli practiced at home and took vocal lessons before attending the audition at Pik's residence. However, the experience was short-lived. "He sat at the piano, and he started, and I opened my mouth, and after five seconds he said: 'Maybe not everyone,'" Refaeli recalled. This response led to laughter from her fellow judges and the studio audience.
The story offered a glimpse into Refaeli's lesser-known foray into singing, as she is primarily known for her modeling and television work. Meanwhile, Refaeli is reportedly settling well into her role as a judge on 'The Masked Singer,' bringing a fresh presence to the panel alongside veteran judges.
Show host Shahar Hason also commented on the addition of Refaeli and Moshé Peretz to the judging panel, humorously noting their impact. Hason joked that when he saw Peretz starting to guess, he thought they had been replaced, as the new judges were "hungry" and "too beautiful," which affected his and fellow host Tzadi's egos. This, along with Refaeli's story, highlights the comedic atmosphere and the dynamic between the new and established judges on the show.
