Benny Gantz, chairman of the Blue and White party, has presented a new proposal aimed at resolving Israel's ongoing political deadlock and the deep divisions between "Only Bibi" and "Only Not Bibi" camps. In a special interview with 103fm radio hosts Barak Sari and Eli Ohana, Gantz revealed what he described as a creative solution that bypasses legal limitations and offers a way out of the political quagmire.

"I am proposing a solution that goes beyond this event," Gantz stated. "Bibi will not be prime minister, but he can do other things, this can be resolved politically." He recalled a conversation with Netanyahu during the COVID-19 government, where Netanyahu asked him about the role of alternate prime minister. Gantz responded by asking, "When we switch, what will you be?"

Addressing the current legal situation that prevents Netanyahu from serving as a minister, Gantz detailed a range of alternative roles that could be tailored for him. "He could be an alternate prime minister, he could be chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. He could be a minister responsible for strategic affairs who is not a member of the Knesset. Can all of this be done legally? The answer is yes."

To illustrate the feasibility of such arrangements, Gantz cited the status of Shas chairman Arie Deri, stating, "Arie Deri is the most minister who isn't a minister, and he is the most non-Knesset member who is a Knesset member. He only comes when absolutely necessary."

Gantz emphasized the need for public unity, urging, "What is important is that in the public and in our nation, people stop hating each other. We are stuck in a personal fight that leads us nowhere."

When the interviewers mentioned that the Prime Minister declares his intention to form a "full right-wing government," Gantz dismissed the statement, saying, "Netanyahu does not have the numbers to form a government. His maximum is repeat elections. Did he say it? So he said it."
